Preventing, not Predicting.

Effective treatment makes a positive difference for families and creates safer communities.

Providers

Advocacy and Training Alliance is a professional association comprised of individuals and organizations that, in their daily work, respond to youth who have caused sexual harm. In response to the lack of a standardized model of care for these youth, the Association emerged in 2004 to lead the professional treatment community toward adoption of a best practice approach to assessment and intervention.

Our Mission

Working to continually advance the treatment and care for youth and children who have experienced sexual abuse through best practices based on empirical evidence to make children, youth, families, and communities safer.

History

Advocacy and Training Alliance was originally titled IN-AJSOP (Indiana Association of Juvenile Sex Offender Practitioners) which was established in 2004. IN-AJSOP was created by a group of professionals who were working with youth with sexually harmful behaviors and formed an association. The association wanted to align with best practices and an overall standard of treatment for the youth and their families. IN-AJSOP has continually implemented and provided training based on current best practices throughout the years. In 2022, the Board met and re-branded to honor the changes in language, and to accurately advertise what the association is accomplishing. Advocacy and Training Alliance has broadened trainings offered through both the diversity of trainings and States serviced.
